Guess is the latest to prove that in 2017, it's finally possible to choose a smartwatch made by brand that understands fashion and style, rather than just technology.

The new Guess Connect watches look be a total revamp of the original Guess Connect smartwatch, which was a hybrid watch designed as part of Guess's partnership with watchmaker Martian. The new device is called the Gc Connect and is based on their company's analog models called Gc Structura.

The device is launching in eight styles, five of which are intended for men (44 mm) and three of which are targeted at women (41 mm), and will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear 2100 chip. The ladies' version has the most appealing design - if we're grading on a very large curve - but the gaudy black-and-gold men's version should've never left the design board. They have a round design, and all models will sport a 318L stainless steel case with options of brushed and polished steel, rose gold, or bronze. Partnering up with Google and Qualcomm Technologies Inc., Guess will be introducing smartwatches with variants for men and women. The Quartz certainly looks interesting, but it remains to be seen if it's going to offer features that can set it aside from other Android Wear smartwatches out there.

Decidedly aimed at the fashion market, neither the Gc nor Guess watches will feature LTE. Pricing and availability hasn't been announced, but Guess is targeting a fall/winter release.
