While appearing in all 16 regular season games for an impressive Cowboys team in 2016-2017, Carr produced 61 total tackles alongside one interception.

While he was extremely durable during his tenure here, starting every single game, Carr's productivity did little to justify his price tag (he even had to take a paycut to remain with the team in 2016). It also reportedly is more than what the Cowboys offered Claiborne to re-sign with them.

Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome says, "We got better today".

Carr played the last five years for the Dallas Cowboys.

Assuming Claiborne counts $5 million on the Jets cap in 2016, NY now has roughly $24 million in cap space according to Spotrac, which is right at the league average. Dallas lost two other members of its secondary last week when safeties Barry Church and J.J. Wilcox signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, respectively.

Carr's 144-consecutive starts rank as the NFL's longest active streak among cornerbacks, with the next closest being Arizona CB Patrick Peterson (96).

But there's a major caveat: Claiborne's injury history.

Cowboys free-agent cornerback Morris Claiborne is expected to sign with the Jets, according to ESPN.

Carr, 30, started all 80 games in his five-year stint with the Cowboys.
