Wabco India demonstrates advanced safety technologies at T1 PRIMA Truck Racing Championship

Conducted under the aegis of Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI), the T1 PRIMA Truck Racing Championship features Tata Motors PRIMA trucks specifically built for the race track. From the Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar to the scintillating Garima Yajnik with her foot-tapping Indo-western numbers along with vivacious damsel of melody added by Siddharth Mahadevan, KK and last but not the least the sensational performance by the young superstars from Saregamapa Little Champs, were few amongst the many other surprises that T1 season 4 had to offer. After the qualifying heats, 12 worldwide and 20 Indian truck racers made it to the final race.

In Pro Class Category, 12 global driver from Britain and other European countries were seen participating and it was David Vrsecky of Team Dealer Daredevils who emerged in first position.

These applications have undergone an evaluation and selection process over a period of 2 months.

After exciting rounds of on-track action the day witnessed winners among some disappointed drivers who failed to finish the race due to various racing incidents. David competed with global drivers from FIA's European Truck Racing Championship. Conducted under the aegis of FIA and FMSCI, the T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship featured 400bhp powered T1 Prima race trucks, built for the objective. Norbert Kiss of team Tata Technologies motorsports managed to secure the second position, ahead of Gerhard Kober of team Dearer Warriors on the third place. The first T1woman truck racer, German Steffi Halm also took part in the truck racing championship.

29-year-old Nagarjuna won the Champion Class for the second consecutive year.

Top 10 finalists of the T1 Racer Program competed in the Super Class and Champions Class categories. Malkeet Singh (age 34) from UP (Uttar Pradesh) stood second with the fastest lap at 1:50.597 and Bhag Chand (age 32) from Rajasthan, with the fastest time at 1:50.597 was the second runner-up.
