White House safety increased after scare

Around 11 p.m. last night, the Secret Service says the driver pulled up to a security checkpoint and told the guard there was a bomb in the vehicle. He was not able to get past the first set of bike rack fences on the north side of the White House.

"Upon contact with the individual, U.S. Secret Service Uniform Division Officers detained the individual and declared his vehicle suspicious", a Secret Service spokesperson said. It said it's investigating.

It's the third foiled attempt to access the White House in the past three weeks.

"The secret service did a fantastic job, it was a troubled person", he said.

Agents says Keoughan claimed "this was a test" while he was being arrested.

Criminal charges were pending, the Secret Service said.

Trump was in the White House during that time, not his Mar-A-Lago estate in Florida, where he has spend a majority of his weekends as President.

Utah Congressman Jason Chaffetz, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said the intruder rattled a door handle and looked through a window before being apprehended.

The White House Press Secretary, Sean Spicer, thanked and praised the Secret Service this Sunday after the mentioned events.

That jumper was reportedly on the grounds for about 15 minutes.

The Secret Service is made up of at least 6,500 people. On March 10, a man jumped a fence, carrying a letter for Trump but was arrested near the south entrance, CNN reported.
