Bader, 33, who formally announced his signing with Bellator during an appearance on the MMA Hour, later posted a video on his Twitter account.

The Associated Press broke the news on Monday that Sonnen vs Silva will headline Bellator 180, an event which will mark the Scott Coker led promotion's first foray into the NY market and it's debut at the famed Madison Square Garden venue.

Bellator is going big this summer, returning to pay-per-view for the long-awaited grudge match between Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva.

Expect Bader to be officially introduced as a Bellator fighter at Bellator 175 on March 31, and an announcement of his first opponent to come shortly thereafter.

Ryan Bader is on his way to Bellator. "We're putting it together, and our roster is robust enough that we feel like it's time to get into the pay-per-view business, so here we go". Bellator is owned by media conglomerate Viacom, and airs regularly on Spike TV. The fight was first supposed to happen in the UFC three years ago following Sonnen and Silva coaching The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil opposite each other, which showcased their bitter rivalry.
