Taking the Flames' history in Anaheim into account, it might be best if things shift around at least a bit between now and mid-April.

The Los Angeles Kings' uphill battle to make the NHL Playoffs got even more steep after a 5-2 loss to the Calgary Flames on Sunday night.

"He's a pretty dirty player, that kid", Doughty told reporters, via L.A. Kings Insider. With those plays in mind, I'm not completely surprised by the ruling. I don't know exactly what happened because I got hit in the head, but I thought he elbowed me. His two game suspension will hurt fantasy owners relying on his points and penalty minutes.

Obviously, maintaining consistency between the pipes will be the key for the Flames heading into April. If the Flames want to help Elliott reach that franchise record, they're going to have to be there to support him. This was a pretty exciting game from start to finish.

The number as of today: five.

"For us here in our own building we wanted to get off to an early lead and play with the lead throughout the game", said Gaudreau, who leads the Flames in scoring with 52 points (16 goals, 36 assists) in 62 games. Unlike a couple of years ago, when the team snuck in despite a bevy of underlying numbers suggesting they didn't deserve to be there, this edition of the Flames looks the part.

Tkachuk will sit out Tuesday's game against the Capitals and Thursday's game against the Predators.
