Police are still searching for the man, who Diggs says took many of her belongings, including her phone, credit and debit cards, and her auto.

The suspect remains unknown and is still at large. At one point, the visibly shaken woman grabbed a shotgun Alsabah kept in the store, fearful the man would come back.

Her friends have started a GoFundMe to help support Diggs, who they call an "Alabama hero".

She says she's speaking out about the kidnapping in hopes of helping to track down her captor.

Alsabah says that the woman had been cut during her abduction and that a relative brought her to get checked out by medical staff. "I just felt like it was a lot". When Diggs tried to explain that she was just a student and didn't have money, the robber forced her into the trunk while he drove to different ATMs.

Diggs said that after she took money out of her accounts for the man, he continued to threaten her, insisting that she was "lying". Brittany jumped with nothing to lose but also nothing to come back.
