Drunken driving suspect had lizard in bra

Amy Rebello-McCarthy, 39, was "slurring her words" and "drooling" when she was approached by Taunton police officers following a Tuesday afternoon crash, cops said.

A Newton woman was arrested by Taunton Police, Monday, after she plowed through 6 mailboxes in her Mercedes and then proceeded to drive into a tree in at a Staple Street home.

Prior to taking the two individuals in for booking, authorities say McCarthy told officers that she had a lizard stuffed in her bra.

She was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, driving to endanger and marked lane violation, while her passenger's gun was determined to be a fake and he was not charged for it. Her companion, whom authorities said managed to come up with the name Marvin K. Kyewalyanga, was "placed in Protective Custody". It faces no charges at this time'.
