OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Steve Kerr provided a strong message, just not from his usual spot on the bench: Play with urgency from the opening tip this time. "Give all of our guys credit". The Warriors never trailed in Game 2. We can't ease into the game. So one motorcycle gets in front of the red light off the exit ramp, pauses, tells everyone to go through.

Here's the box score from Game 2 at Oracle Arena, to go along with my three takeaways.

And while San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich explained the size of the loss as the result of an nearly team-wide timidity, the Warriors played at a level that nearly no team would have been able to match, let alone one with a shredded roster.

Leonard or no Leonard, Popovich insisted the series is over if his team doesn't get an attitude adjustment.

"The only way I can process this is I think it's not about the O's and X's or rebounds or turnovers or anything like that". And you have to believe.

So I start to go a little bit and another one pulls up: 'Hey, you, you heard him, stop!'

"It showed in the lack of edge, intensity ..."

On second thought, Gregg Popovich chose to hold his tongue.

"We felt sorry for ourselves", Popovich said.

"I think it's bulls***".

Shooting guard Danny Green said he thought the Spurs believed they could win once the ball was tipped but admitted, "then things started rolling the wrong direction, and that changed".

5 things you don't know about Baby Groot of 'Guardians'
By far the most loved character in the " Guardians of the Galaxy " franchise is Groot, voiced by the indomitable Vin Diesel. Though I imagine it's hard to spoof an already near-spoof movie, Marvel really hit it on the mark this time .

WannaCry ransomware cyber-attack is a 'wake-up call', says Microsoft
But that patch came two months after it issued similar ones that fixed the same flaw in more recent versions of Windows. Smith then likened the severity of the scenario to the "U.S. military having some of its Tomahawk missiles stolen".

Lauded rocker Chris Cornell killed himself by hanging
Cornell, along with some of the early-90s' pioneering garage rock outfits, had a singular voice in rock and psychedelia. The band tweeted Wednesday night a quote from Cornell: "What I look forward to the the camaraderie".

The Warriors offense was humming from the start as they racked up 23 assists in the first half alone, after handing out 22 - a minute total, for them - in Game 1. In the past three games, he's averaging 33.0 points and shooting 57 percent from the field and 49 percent from long distance.

"It's fun to watch".

Patrick McCaw led all bench scorers with 18 points in 27 minutes in Game 2, and Golden State's advantage in bench scoring had plenty to do with their ability to run away with the victory. Stephen Curry led the way with 29 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, and set the tone with 15 points in the first quarter.

Only eight other National Basketball Association teams have ever opened a postseason 10-0. The Warriors shot well, especially from beyond the 3-point arc. "You want me to-no, I'll pass".

Curry's points haul included 6 3-pointers as the Warriors all-round offensive power crushed a San Antonio Spurs line-up missing the injured Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker.

During the Warriors' Game 1 victory, Pachulia was defending an outside jump shot by the Spurs' Leonard. "We'll just lay it out there Game 3 on our home floor". The Warriors' bench combined for 63 points in the win, their highest total in any game this season (regular season or playoffs).

This fan food will be over when the series ends, so the time to donate is now! A barrage of outside shots and clean looks allowed Golden State to compile 39 points and push their lead to 28.

After railing for two days against the deteriorating state of American politics and the nebulous quest to discern intent from Zaza Pachulia's injurious Game 1 foot-slide, the normally loquacious San Antonio Spurs head coach wouldn't stoop and, as he put it, "psychoanalyze" the dismal effort put forth in Game 2 by LaMarcus Aldridge. X-rays on Pachulia's heel were negative, but he was scheduled for an MRI exam on Wednesday nonetheless.

He then revealed that Spurs coach Gregg Popovich phoned him from the team bus to poke fun.

"This is playoff time, and if you're not excited and don't get that adrenaline rush and get locked into the moment, you're going to miss out", Curry said of his postseason play.
