Stephen Colbert responds to Trump's 'No-Talent' criticism: 'I Win!'

But Trump clearly took umbrage with Colbert's comments.

When Jon Stewart took his seat opposite Late Show host Stephen Colbert Tuesday, he was visibly uneasy. "But I never thought one of those things would be show business".

And, Trump is correct making jokes at his expense has been good for Colbert's ratings, the late-night host agreed, adding, generously, "It's nearly as if the majority of Americans didn't want you to be president".

Not only did Fallon's freakish 2016 moment with Trump inspire a debate about the dangers of normalization, the roundly bashed clip made a lot of people very thankful for Fallon's direct competition, Stephen Colbert.

Colbert went on to say that Trump was only giving him more attention, and he noted that his ratings have been quite good lately. "And what he says is filthy", Trump told Time magazine this week. "And you have kids watching", Trump said.

"I would spend days with the worst people you could possibly imagine, You'd have to engage in this big sketch you've done". The guy was dying. But his show was dying.

"Welcome to the 'Late Show.' I'm your host, Stephen Colbert".

On Thursday's episode of The Late Show, Colbert responded with a cheerful teardown of the commander-in-chief.
