'Baahubali 2' becomes first Indian movie to enter 1500-crore club

Baahubali 2 was released on 28th April in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages across 9,000 theaters in India.

SS Rajamouli's Baahubali:The Conclusion has reportedly crossed the Rs 1500 Cr mark at the Box Office. Infact, as per the sources, the vital ground work for the adaptation of Baahubali 2 as a television series has already been started.

According to Ramesh Bala, a movie industry tracker, the total earnings of the movie up to Wednesday are Rs 1475 crore. Meanwhile, the buzz is that Rajamouli is planning a third part of the magnum opus.

Till May 14, it had earned Rs 121.69 crore. Among the many milestones surpassed by film, the most prominent one is that the film launched the first ever 1000 Crore club in India and the first $ 15M club in overseas.

But with the release of Half girlfriend and Hindi Medium on Friday, May 19, we have to wait and watch whether this will impact Baahubali's performance at the box office or not.

Baahubali: The Conclusion has become the first movie to reach such a very large figure even after being dubbed in multiple languages.
