Game 6 will be played today at Edmonton; a seventh game, if necessary, would be played Wednesday at Honda Center.

"Well, I don't know if there is a recipe".

"I think we should", said Cogliano. I don't think there is anything that we're going to come across that we can't bounce back from.

Draisaitl scored just 15 seconds in.

"Everything. They score on basically the first three chances to score". A penalty kill, a power play, a goaltender.

Draisaitl was feeling a heck of a lot better on Sunday night.

Edmonton made it 3-0 at 12:28 of the second when Caggiula scored on a attractive pass from McDavid. Obviously Kesler was pushed in, there's no doubt about that, but we have a strong belief that he had wrapped his arm around Talbot's leg. And yet here we are.

Asked after the game about the Ducks' disappointing recent playoff history, Carlyle repeatedly distanced himself from those exits.

"I thought Connor and Leon had an impact offensively and defensively and they're going against two veteran centres in (Ryan) Kesler and Getzlaf". I'm not there. Not yet. If their fans want to complain, that is a more valid topic than the officiating by the National Hockey League. "Someone knows. Someone call me and tell me".

He was just 7 of 19 from the floor, 2 of 7 from 3-point range. "We did a lot to push it to seven games against that team". Not only were the C's just 12-for-38 (31.6%) from three-point range, they also finished 3-of-13 on uncontested threes.

He added that the Trump administration's account of Comey's firing had "a lot of inconsistencies". "There may be grounds", Lynch told WBUR's Radio Boston .

Confederate Monument Comes Down
The PGT Beauregard monument is the third of four confederate-era monuments removed from the city in recent weeks. One of the controversial confederate monuments removed from New Orleans could find a new home in Biloxi.

Game 6 is Sunday in Edmonton.

The Ducks now lead the series 3-2. The club has to channel all of that frustrated energy into more positive play. "We've got two more games".

EDMONTON, Alberta - The Edmonton Oilers finally built enough of a lead that the Anaheim Ducks couldn't recover.

The poise with the puck and superb shot haven't worn down through all the big moments Getzlaf has faced on hockey's biggest stages.

Slepychev extended the Oilers' lead to 6-0 in the opening minute of the second period before Rakell got the Ducks on the scoreboard just shy of the 9-minute mark. The confidence was so high and the focus on Russell toughing it out through an apparent brain injury was so strong that TSN's Ryan Rishaug took the time to shut down the people (mainly bloggers) who were concerned about the shot attempts and zone entry/exit problems that were pointing to danger. But, that does not change the fact that the Oilers were up 3-0 late in the third period of Game 5. They've played well too. But since arriving in Anaheim shortly after the Ducks took him 19th overall in the 2003 draft, he has developed as much as a leader off the ice as he has a player.

This could be the final game of the season. Andrej Sekera was injured on a hit from Getzlaf, while Oscar Klefbom left the game after blocking a Cam Fowler shot. The Oilers had Draisaitl down the middle and it worked well.

Draisaitl and Letestu were the driving forces, but Letestu said Draisaitl was the real big wheel. What is most important was how the Oilers responded to the whole thing. Anton Slepyshev had the other while Rickard Rakell was the only Ducks player to beat Cam Talbot in one of the strangest playoff series you'll ever see. If they can silence the crowd at Rogers Place a final time, they would remain unbeaten on the road in this postseason. Game 5 was probably their best effort in keeping them off the scoreboard but that didn't last a full 60 minutes. There is no path to success that doesn't involve keeping those two out of the game. That made him the second-youngest player in Oilers' history to record a postseason hat trick, and the fifth Oilers' player to record five points in a single postseason game. Both are statistically two of the best goalies in this year's playoffs. This may be the final game of the year. If there's such a thing as "clutch" then this would be the game it shows up.

It does give one pause to wonder why the officials did not make the call, or overturn the goal upon review. It's time for Lucic to make an impact 5v5. I'm not quite ready for it to be over and I hope we can do this again on Wednesday.

The puck had barely dropped in Game 6 before Edmonton snatched the pen away from the Ducks and threw it all the way back to Southern California.
