Walmart customers were surprised by what they saw at one of the stores in Wadena, Minn.

A Wal-Mart shopper in central Minnesota wrestled a deer to the ground and held it down until the animal could be set free, authorities said Wednesday.

The picture of the man pinning down the deer went viral on Facebook.

People at the store in Wadena believe the animal was searching for something to eat when it entered the store through the garden center doors on Tuesday.

Tom Grasswick, ironically from nearby Deer Creek, says he was just trying to save a few bucks when a little buck jumped right into the unsuspecting shopper.

Grasswick tackled the deranged deer, who was clearly looking for a bite to eat, after it slammed into him near a pallet of dog food.

The animal calmed down enough to allow store employees to tie dog leashes to its legs before it was carried outside and freed, according to police.
