Michy Batshuayi has struggled for first-team football at Chelsea.

West Ham are lining up a loan move for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi this summer as they look to bolster their attacking options, sources close to the Hammers have told ESPN FC.

Batshuayi caught the attention after scoring 23 goals for Marseille during the 2015/16 campaign and his potential earned him a £33m move to Stamford Bridge last summer.

Newcastle are said to be long-time admirers of the 23-year-old, who looks like being available on loan next season after a hard first campaign at Stamford Bridge.

The Belgium global made just one Premier League start for the new champions but has scored four in his last three outings, including the victor at West Brom to secure the title.

Isabel Hodgins, an actress who had been at the concert, told Sky News: "Everybody was panicking, there was pushing up the stairs". Greater Manchester Police tweeted that emergency services were "responding to serious incident at Manchester Arena.

However, despite Diego Costa being Antonio Conte's first choice striker, Batshuayi has still impressed whenever given the chance and has scored 11 goals in his 28 appearances so far.

It is no secret that West Ham want to sign at least one new centre-forward this summer, with Andy Carroll consistently struggling with injuries, and the likes of Ashley Fletcher and Jonathan Calleri failing to make their mark with the London club.

However, Terreur goes on to suggest that Chelsea are yet to make a final decision over whether to let Batshuayi leave over the coming weeks.

The statistics show that Batshuayi only made one Premier League start for Chelsea during the 2016-17 campaign. "No decision has been taken as yet".

The Mirror's report claims Newcastle plan to sign Batshuayi on loan and manager Rafa Benitez is confident he could win the race for the worldwide striker's signature.
