Real Madrid pounded Juventus 4-1 in the 2016-2017 Champions League final to become the first team to win Europe's elite club tournament two years in a row.

With the crowd in a frenzy, four-time Ballon d'Or victor Ronaldo - who finished the season with 42 goals in all competitions and as the Champions League's top scorer - ended up singing, "Cristiano, Ballon d'Or" and the fans joined in.

The number of people injured when panic swept through a crowd of Juventus fans watching the Champions League final in a Turin piazza has reportedly risen to about 1000.

Newspaper reports have claimed Manchester United are considering a move for the former Tottenham star.

But Bale, who signed a new deal until 2022 only in October, insists he has no plans of leaving his new life in Spain behind just yet.

"It's the reason why I came to Real Madrid - to win trophies".

"We feel we are an unbelievable team and need to just keep doing what we are doing because I think we can win many more titles in the future".

The score was at 1-1 after Ronaldo had netted against the run of play and Mario Mandzukic had equalised but Juventus were creating the better chances and Gianluigi Buffon's net had otherwise gone untroubled.

"Then I'll obviously do some work in the off-season to get it stronger and ready for next season so I'll be firing on all cylinders".
