Pokemon Gold/Silver launch on the Nintendo 3DS on September 22. We're getting Pokken Tournament on the Switch, and that's it...for now anyway.

In other related news, The Pokemon Company itself posted record profits, mainly buoyed by the astronomical success of the Pokemon GO smartphone app that launched last summer.

We do know, however, that the 3DS is capable of communicating with the Switch, and Ultra Sun and Moon could have taken great advantage of that.

The visuals of the Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon seem to be as a carbon copy of Pokemon Sun & Moon, though that's to be expected for the Nintendo 3DS hardware.

IOS 11 will make older iPhones, iPads, and apps obsolete

Unfortunately, during the reveal of the Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, we were not giving too many details about the narrative. Adding Pokken Tournament DX to that list is only going to make the company's case for portable gaming even stronger. Initially the implementation was a basic one, simply turning on the phone's camera to let you see the world behind it, and overlaying the digital asset of the pokemon. What do you think of the trailer? We have ARMS this month, Splatoon 2 next month, and games like Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Super Mario Odyssey coming later this year. Initially released for the Wii U, the brawler features fast-paced battles, frantic combos, and cute critters beating the life out of each other.

In a report by Kotaku, "Pokemon Sun and Moon" developers Game Freak has confirmed that the new version of the 2016 smash hit Pokemon game, "Pokemon Ultra Sun and ultra Moon" would only release for the Nintendo 3DS.

As mentioned above, the release date for Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon will be about a year after the release of Pokemon Sun & Moon. This naturally means we get filler games like Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon every couple of years or so, so Game Freak has time to break out the big guns and ensure they are well-polished.
