The tortured explanations of Trump's tweets make no sense

The White House on Tuesday defended recent tweets by U.S. President Donald Trump that have raised concern among opponents and allies alike.

He called the courts "slow and political", Democrats "OBSTRUCTIONISTS" for not approving his appointees fast enough and London Mayor Sadiq Khan's response in the wake of a terror attack a "pathetic excuse". Sean Spicer said that during Tuesday's White House press briefing.

Neiss ran with the idea, using the Twitter bot to format Trump's tweets into "official" statements. Trump reportedly thinks Sessions' recusal eventually led to the appointment of a special counsel who took over the investigation.

"I understand you've explained several times that the president likes to have this conduit where he can talk directly to the American people", Roberts said. George retweeted Trump and wrote, "These tweets may make some [people] feel better, but they certainly won't help [the] OSG get five votes in SCOTUS, which is actually matters".

Trump used Twitter Tuesday to take credit for US allies like the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia cutting off relations with Qatar, which hosts a major USA military base.

The White House has made a conscious decision to avoid answering questions about the Russian Federation probes, referring inquiries to Marc Kasowitz, the president's outside counsel. In the 9th Circuit Court opinion upholding the stay on the travel ban, the judges cited Trump's comments - via Twitter and otherwise - as evidence that the president's intent was, indeed, to keep Muslims from six countries from entering the country.

"Do you notice we are not having a gun debate right now?"

"This obsession with covering everything he says on Twitter and very little of what he does as president", Conway complained. "But at the same time I do think that the media obsesses over every period, dot". He's the president. What he says can move financial markets, move Congress, move world leaders and move people across the globe. And Sessions' own team has become a part of Trump's inner circle: former Sessions chief of staff Rick Dearborn is now Trump's deputy chief of staff, and former Sessions spokesman Stephen Miller has evolved into a highly influential figure as Trump's policy director and speechwriter.

Conway, who almost became a top Trump appointee at the Justice Department, later said that his criticism was a form of tough love for the president.
