Currently, the most powerful console you can buy is the PlayStation Pro which supports 4.2 teraflops and 911MHz. That takes an incredibly powerful GPU. A host of these titles will be enhanced to run in true 4K, and many will be available at Xbox One X launch. The PS4 Pro, however, isn't capable outputting 4K visuals natively.

The Xbox One X will be available to purchase for £449 in the United Kingdom, and has a $499 USA price tag.

Unlike the Xbox One X, or the Xbox One S, the white is gone, in favour of a stealthy black like the original Xbox.

After spending some time talking about the Xbox One X hardware and Forza Motosport 7, Microsoft got the ball rolling with announcements. It won't hold that crown forever though, as Microsoft's souped-up Xbox One X is set to arrive later in 2017.

However, Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter says the "pricey" Xbox One X could become a hard sell for Microsoft. This giving gamer's around the world the opportunity to enjoy the best games of the past, present and future.

Which actually isn't that much more than the Xbox One cost on launch, though it has since had substantial price cuts since. IHS Markit analyst Piers Harding-Rolls doesn't expect price to have an impact for Microsoft's target audience.

Meanwhile in the Sony camp, the PS4 Pro gets all the games the PS4 does. While the One X will nearly certainly let you use an external drive, we don't yet know if you'll be able to upgrade the internal drive.

2014's Shadow of Mordor pioneered a new kind of adaptive enemy AI known as the Nemesis System, which pretty much everyone agreed was way better than the whole rest of the game.

With console-powered wireless, Microsoft would assumedly be looking at streaming technologies similar to those being used by companies like TPCast and DisplayLink which free users of a physical cord but rely on physical proximity to a transmitter to ensure a seamless connection. Both consoles are just 4K boosted steps up from the PS4 and Xbox One; so is MSFT's newest console worth the wait? This console will be backward compatible that doesn't mean all the games would be working but only few which will be digitally rendered and can be downloaded from the store. If you've invested in a 4K TV or Monitor, then you'll want to take advantage of that with a Xbox One X.

We discussed everything we expect from E3 2017 on our weekly gaming podcast Transition. There's no doubt that 2160p is a step up over 1080p, but unless you display the images side by side, I'm fairly confident the average consumer won't know the difference.
