Earlier, the civil services preliminary examination was held in the month of August, but now after a gap of three years, the commission will be conducting the examination in the month of June. Recently the admit cards for the examinations are released.

UPSC IAS Prelims Exam 2017 Answer Key: The UPSC prelims exam has been conducted on 18th June 2017.

This year UPSC threw many surprises in the paper and candidates who were expecting a set pattern found themselves in shock after seeing the paper. As per the revised rules, the candidates are required to score minimum 33% marks in GS Paper 2, while the marks obtained in GS Paper 1 will be used for screening the candidates for mains.

As per the schedule released by the Commission, the main exam is scheduled for October. In fact, students felt that questions asked in the General Studies paper being hard would affect the cutoff marks this year. For each question, there are four options.
