June 19, 2017

Any storm that forms will be capable of producing very heavy rain, unsafe lightning, and strong gusty winds. Isolated storms are possible through the end of the week with afternoons in the upper 80s/lower 90s and mornings in the lower 70s.

Wednesday will be much drier and still warm with just a slight chance at a pop-up late day storm.

A large complex of storms which formed over the Midwest Saturday afternoon will fall apart as it tracks southeast toward Tennessee overnight. A cold front will move in from the west Monday and tap into the unstable air in place, leading to a good chance of showers and storms Monday afternoon and evening. Highs in the low 80s with NW winds 10-20 miles per hour. There is a Slight Risk for severe weather tonight and into Monday morning. We'll keep that muggy feel through the night with a few scattered storms.

Tuesday|Chance of afternoon showers. Highs will be in the low-mid 80s. Then, the weather will be more comfortable with less heat and humidity by Monday afternoon. We won't have any concrete answers until late Monday or early Tuesday so check back often for the latest forecast.
