Knicks Willing To Trade Kristaps Porzingis

Porzingis boycotted over frustration with the Knicks' lack of direction, sources told The Post's Marc Berman at the time.

Trading him now would surely generate an even worse reaction from the Knicks fan base than when they drafted him two years ago.

Would the Knicks be insane enough to deal a franchise player like Kristaps Porzingis?

With the National Basketball Association draft just two days away, Phil Jackson has reportedly not ruled out the possibility of trading the most valuable player on the New York Knicks roster.

Porzingis, 21, averaged 18.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in 2016-17, his second National Basketball Association season.

On Tuesday, the Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that New York's president "isn't ruling out" trading Kristaps Porzingis, the unicorn that is supposed to be the face of the franchise for at least the next decade.

Jackson reportedly even met with Lauri Markkanen in NY on Monday.

Inmates save correctional officer who passed out during work detail

8 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, which will be held Thursday night. Janis Porzingis, Kristaps agent/brother, met with Phil Jackson but did not accomplish anything to solve their differences.

"Despite how the Knicks are treating their players, Kris wants to stay in New York", Janis Porzingis said.

Porzingis skipped the Knicks' closeout interviews because he was reportedly upset with the team's dysfunction.

Jackson has made it no secret that he wants to trade superstar forward Carmelo Anthony - who Porzingis is known to be quite fond of.

But again, Porzingis is just 21-years-old and loaded with potential.

If Jackson's done only one thing right during his tenure in NY - a tenure where he's put together a measly 80-166 record as GM, broke the roster apart twice, and failed to make a playoff appearance - it was drafting Porzingis in 2015.
