A photo of a happy and smiling Ms Zelenak featured prominently in British newspapers on Tuesday along with the story of her disappearance.

She died in Saturday's attack that saw a van driven into crowds on the sidewalks of London Bridge before three men got out of the vehicle and went on a stabbing spree in Borough Market.

Police said yesterday that a French man who has been missing since the night of the attack may have been thrown off London Bridge and into the River Thames by the killers' speeding vehicle.

The 32-year-old from Hackney, east London, was identified by a bank card found on his body, according to his sister.

An online fundraising campaign, originally set up to collect money to send Ms Zelenak's parents to the United Kingdom, has been re-opened in light of the confirmation of her death.

He's the second victim to be officially named after Canadian woman Christine Archibald who died on London Bridge.

An off-duty Metropolitan Police officer was in hospital with serious injuries after he confronted the attackers with no weapon. The attackers were shot dead by police.

Sara Zelenak has not been in contact with friends or relatives since Saturday night.
