The 18-year-old has one year left on his contract at the San Siro and has already confirmed he will not sign a new deal with his current employers.

Madrid president Florentino Perez has dismissed any talk of Ronaldo leaving the Spanish capital, stating he would only consider a deal if a club met his €1 billion buyout clause.

Real Madrid previously released a statement supporting Ronaldo after prosecutors announced that they were seeking €14.7 million in taxes they felt the player hid in offshore accounts, and Perez reiterated his belief in Ronaldo's innocence on Monday.

However, Perez remains undisturbed by the reports and says he is "not contemplating' letting Ronaldo leave Real Madrid".

"We do not see any reason not to continue with the players we have, including James", he added. I know Cristiano and he's a good guy, not just with the ball, but as a person.

"The whole thing is very unusual because Cristiano Ronaldo is a great guy, both as a player and a person". The principle is that, starting from that principle, and Cristiano has always had the will to fulfil because I know him as a person. What I will say is that all must fulfil our obligations, but I have no doubt in Cristiano.

Cristiano Ronaldo skips post-match press conference after Portugal draw
It was harsh on Mexico who had done most of the running, but Portugal have mastered the art of striking on the break. But Mexico responded with Hernandez testing Portugal keeper Rui Patricio, before putting his side level.

"Cristiano has the same corporate structure he had in England, where he spent many years without problems".

Perez found out about Ronaldo's anger through the front cover of Portuguese newspaper A Bola, but has not spoken to him since his man-of-the-match display in the Champions League final win against Juventus.

Manchester United have been handed a boost in retaining their David de Gea after Real Madrid president Florentino Perez ruled out a move for the goalkeeper.

The 32-year-old was one of the most beloved players during his first spell at Old Trafford. The latter seems likelier but the bombardment of stories claiming Ronaldo is desperate for a move are nearly convincing.

Under Perez, Real Madrid have won three Champions League titles in four seasons. He would cost a lot more than the £80 million Manchester United got for him in 2009, but the team has the financial muscles to pull it off.

There are only a handful of clubs in the world who have the ambition and the financial power to afford Ronaldo.
