Weather service to probe possible tornado in Pennsylvania

National Weather Service officials used radar data received during the storm to confirm the tornado, Laing said.

According to the NWS initial assessment, the area near Greenwood, Del. suffered "tornadic damage" from the storm.

Kent and Sussex Counties were under a tornado warning during the peak of the storm. NWS officials say a storm survey found a damage path of trees in Shartlesville, Berks County that were located on private property behind Mountain Springs Campground on the southern slope of Blue Mountain.

Several videos have been posted online showing what appear to be funnel clouds near Shartlesville, a tiny village in Upper Bern Township, Berks County. They are also investigating a separate possible tornado that may have landed in Sussex County, Delaware Monday. There was also damage to the porch of a nearby home, he said.

Officials with the National Weather Service are now investigating whether it was actually a tornado but have not yet confirmed. A DEMA aerial drone provided an overhead view of wooded areas damaged by high winds.
