Multiple Hummus Products Sold at Walmart and Target Recalled — ALERT

House of Thaller, a Tennessee-based company, is voluntarily recalling its 10-ounce packages of Hummus with Pine Nut Topping. The company recalled the 10-ounce packages of hummus after a supplier said they might be contaminated with listeria.

Hummus sold at Walmart is being recalled for potential contamination. No illnesses have been reported in relation to this recalled product.

To check if you have the product affected by this recall, you an look for the lot code printed on top of the cup, which will begin with a "USE BY" date, followed by the letter "W" and a 7 digit code. Pine Nuts, Lantana White Bean Hummus with Pine Nuts, and Marketside Classic Hummus with Pine Nuts.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, symptoms of listeria infection include headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, fever and muscle aches. The organism can cause miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women.
