Miller's abrupt departure from the HBO comedy left many fans reeling, but there was one fan of the show who showed no signs of disappointment: Miller's dad, Kent.

Now, the show's creator, Mike Judge, is speaking out on writing Miller's character out of the series and what the plans are for the fifth season.

It's important to view Miller's less than gracious departure from Silicon Valley as a reminder that Hollywood is still riddled with double standards for women.

"I swear to god, that's why the internet broke", Miller said, referring to when the news broke that he was leaving "Silicon Valley". "And I don't know how the fuck I hoodwinked Hollywood into giving me a career in this".

On parting ways with Thomas Middleditch and executive producer Alac Berg: "I think that HBO and Alec Berg, specifically, kind of thought - and I guess apparently Thomas Middleditch - I guess they thought, "Alright, maybe this is the end of the character". I still want to see him on television, ' and I was like, 'I know but I think this is for the best.' HBO has never treated me as an employee, always as a collaborator ...

"My father, when I told him I was leaving, was like, 'Yeah, we watched three or four episodes in a row and it's kind of one-note".

When Gavin meets with Richard (Thomas Middleditch) after returning stateside, Richard asks if Erlich ever made it to Tibet. It was a joke. "I'm doing a lot as a public servant and jester to the American public". Down the road, if there's a season six, I don't know. He went to Harvard, and we all know those kids are f-ing idiots.

'Those comedy writers in Hollywood are f***ing Harvard graduates and that's why they're smug as a bug'.

Miller is not the only celebrity to trash their own project.

In Heigl's notorious interview with Vanity Fair, she said she felt the film was "a little sexist".

"I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention", Heigl said in a statement. Of course, those lazy days would come along with other pressing concerns: "I also want to be the voiceover of How to Train Your Dragon theme parks". Despite being a fan favorite, Bachman was becoming less important to the show, operating on the periphery of the main story. I think it's a good idea [to leave].' So I had the flawless father-son moment with him going, "Yeah, it's starting to kind of suck". "That's what we need right now in a post-religious, post-meaning society", he says, not-at-all ridiculously. "What? What do you mean?' And that was so good of them", Miller tells THR. "But for a movie like "Wall Street" that had so much bite the first time around to come out without fangs and preach a message of hope wasn't what people were looking for". "You're wonderful, '" he said. I want to make movies for children.
