Firing was reportedly heard in the area after the blast.

Mr. Farhat says police officers and passers-by were among those wounded in the attack.

The security officials have cordoned off the locality and launched investigation into the incident.

Chaman Sajid Khan Mohmand was killed and at least seven were injured in result of the roadside blast in Boghra Chowk of Chaman, Balochistan today, reported Waqt News.

SSP Sajid Khan suffered serious injuries in the blast and was immediately shifted to the hospital along with the other injured. But the remnants of militant groups are still able to carry out periodic bloody attacks, particularly in the northwest.

Federal Interior Minister Chaudry Nisar Ali Khan has condemned the attack and sought a report about it from local authorities.
