The weather god wasn't kind to the IIFA Rocks gala at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where Oscar winning composer-singer AR Rahman performed live for fans in the US.

Rahman on Friday evening took the stage for his culminating performance a few hours after the show began. But, this year the rain spoiled all the plans.

The weather played a spoilsport at the MetLife stadium, NY, as the Bollywood celebrities stayed away from walking the green carpet for the IIFA Rocks event.

Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Karan Johar, Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon, Anupam Kher, Diljit Dosanjh, Kamal Khan and Riteish Deshmukh among others are attending the IFFA Rocks event.

As we speak the stars have already started arriving at the MetLife stadium and we are sure this is going to be one hell of a show which NY won't forget soon. "If it does rain tomorrow, it will be awesome dancing in the rain at IIFA", tweeted Salman, who is a star performer for the main IIFA Awards night here on Saturday.

Trump's lawyer makes a curious argument about the Secret Service
Lawyer Jay Sekulow distanced his client from the June 2016 meeting, saying that the President did not know about it at the time. The attorney's focus on the law appears aimed at moving beyond the shifting accounts of the meeting given by Trump Jr.

Adding to the extensive list of IIFA Rocks lineup, Aditi Rao Hydari captivated the audiences with her powerhouse performance at the IIFA Rocks Stage.

"Thank you for getting wet and sitting for this", said Rahman in the middle of his performance.

Rahman's show started off with the popular song from Dil Se and he was further joined by few of the music industry's biggest names including Benny Dayal, Jonita Gandhi, Neeti Mohan, Javed Ali and others on the show.

Rahman was in news earlier this week when several fans complained about his July 8 concert in Wembley, London on Twitter.

The security at the venue, which will also host the IIFA Awards night on Saturday, was tight and led to a hard time for some media persons.
