The four-time Ballon d'Or victor was linked with shock move to Manchester United after allegations of tax fraud against him.

Former Real Madrid full-back Michel Salgado said on Sunday that Cristiano Ronaldo's future at the club is secure, dismissing any possibility of a move away from the nation's capital.

But Salgado doesn't see him playing for any other top club on the continent.

"Maybe he can not increase his level further, but obviously he is going to be really important for Real Madrid". I have no clue about what's going to happen, ' Bale told Spanish outlet Marca. "I think he is comfortable in Real Madrid".

Salgado has played with Ronaldo at Real in 2009 for a brief period before joining English Premier League (EPL) club Blackburn Rovers. "Maybe he can not [increase his level] further, but obviously he is going to be really important for Real Madrid".

Hugh Jackman NOT Playing Scar In Lion King Remake
With Jon Favreau attached to direct, the project has been amassing its cast for the past few months. Scar was originally voiced by Jeremy Irons back in the classic 1994 animated film.

"But I know him, he is a professional, he is going to be ready to be the important guy that he is, in the important games".

"(Gareth) has had a very hard year, with a lot of injuries, but he started the season very well and he was our best player", said the Croatian midfielder. "He is going to learn to do that", he added.

Bale was a part of a Real Madrid team that landed La Liga and the Champions League last season, but a frustrating campaign for the Welshman on a personal level saw him restricted to just 27 appearances in all competitions due to a number of injury problems.

But on whether Bale wants Ronaldo to remain at the Bernabeu, the former Tottenham forward was much clearer, saying: "Of course, we won titles, we did well, we don't need to change anything".
