Biden to visit Schenectady on 'Promise' tour

Joe Biden is coming to Ann Arbor later this year to promote his new memoir.

Biden continued, "I'm looking forward to talking with people all over the country on this book tour, not only about my experiences, but about how much we have in common, and what we can do together to continue to build on the great promise of America".

The 19-city nationwide book tour kicks off November 13 in NY.

Biden will stop in 19 cities as part of the tour, with Schenectady one of the smallest among them. Full tour dates can be found here.

Tickets for the appearance go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 28, though Proctors members and subscribers will have access to a pre-sale beginning Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Reserved seats are available for $59.50, $75, $99.50 and $125. He will be at the Chicago Theater on Monday, December 11 at 7:30 p.m.

In the book titled "Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose", Mr. Biden will reflect on the his son Beau Biden's yearlong battle with brain cancer and death in 2015, The New York Times reported.

Other special guests scheduled to appear include journalist and former news anchor Dan Rather, Chilean-American writer Isabel Allende, song-writer Patti Smith and former White House photographer for former President Barack Obama, Peter Souza. The book tour will be a series of ticketed events consisting of a conversation with Biden, who will discuss big moments in his political career, according to the release. "He will share how the loss of his son Beau tested his resolve, and how he is finding new goal in a time of uncertainty".
