Power crashes out in Toronto Indy

James Hinchcliffe can capitalize on home track advantage.

Defending Indycar champion Simon Pagenaud set the fastest time of the day's two sessions, clocking 1min 0.2573sec. Pagenaud's lap of 58.912 seconds shattered Power's year-old track record (59.7747 seconds).

"I think there were a couple this year that got away from us anyways from mechanical issues and whatnot".

Will Power, who's won this race a series-high three times, enters action Sunday as the prohibitive favorite.

Gutierrez crashed near the end of the first round, hitting the wall on the straightaway to the finish line. Gutierrez, a former Formula One driver, is being mentored by IndyCar veteran and Dale Coyne Racing teammate Sebastien Bourdais this weekend.
