With two geographically and culturally distinct regions of West Bengal now on the boil, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has shifted the blame on to the Centre, saying it is "indifferent to the sinister role played by foreign forces".

On Monday, Trinamool Congress chief Banerjee chaired a meeting of the party's parliamentary board, to discuss strategies to be raised in the Monsoon Session of Parliament.

She also urged political parties to vote for opposition party candidate Meira Kumar in the presidential election over NDA candidate Ram Nath Kovind.

Blaming the Centre for ruining its relationship with China, Bhutan, Nepal and Bangladesh, Mamata Banerjee on Monday said that China was eyeing the Chicken's Neck corridor in West Bengal.

Targeting central government agencies like the IB, SSB, RAW and NIA, the chief minister wondered what these were doing when around 400 schools teaching Chinese language sprang up at Pashupathi gate near Darjeeling.
