An investigation is underway into the shocking accident, which was described as "not especially challenging" by the jump operators.

A 29-year-old Singaporean was killed in a tragic accident on Saturday afternoon during a tandem skydiving incident that went horribly wrong in Sydney, Australia, according to various media reports.

It's understood the pair had taken off from a local skydive centre and were diving in tandem when they crashed in a driveway one kilometre from the designated landing site.

Ms Granados had jumped just 20 minutes before the accident occurred.

GoPro footage of the pair, moments before their fatal jump.

She was with her boyfriend, who booked the skydive as a gift for the couple to experience together.

She said: "He struck me as someone who is very sensible and knows what he is doing, not a wilful person. He said you had more chance of dying in a vehicle accident".

Sydney Skydivers added that its centre will be closed on Sunday out of respect and to ensure all involved are being looked after.

"Our sympathies go out to the families and friends of both men as well as those in our skydiving community", the Sydney Skydivers post said.

The company assured the public that Lloyd was a "highly experienced" instructor, with nearly 30 years of experience and almost 10,000 skydives completed.

Asked whether it had been in contact with the family of Mr Low, the office of Sydney Skydivers told The Straits Times it was not commenting beyond its Facebook statement. She hasn't seen them hit the ground but she is pretty traumatised. It was awful, she told Daily Mail Australia.

'There was a fatality involving an instructor and a student, ' she said.

"I think they must have dived after me".

Five years ago, two men died in a similar location - a 27-year-old man was killed in July while a man in his 30s died in December. This included two deaths in 2001 and two in 2012.
