Violating law in the name of cow protection unacceptable: PM Modi

The dastardly Amarnath terror attack was strongly condemned by the Lok Sabha MPs.

Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad made it clear today that the Congress and other opposition parties would target the government over the issues.

"We have raised our areas of concern and have also raised few issues on behalf of the entire Opposition".

Further stressing on the issue, Azad said there is an ideological difference between the parties, but when it comes to the territorial integrity of the country, everybody has to stand united.

CPI (M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury said his party has already given a notice for discussion on the "alarming rise in incidents of lynching" by cow vigilantes.

"The Congress will demand inclusion of petroleum, electricity and real estate in the GST", Surjewala said.

"We must have confidence in the values we believe in", she said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday asked political parties to isolate corrupt leaders and refrain from rushing to their defence taking the plea that action against them was part of political conspiracy.Modi's comments at an all party meeting come at a time when investigating agencies were probing graft allegations against leaders of the Trinamool Congress and RJD. He will also address NDA members of Parliament.

The Prime Minister also called on all the parties to support the war against corruption, which has been initiated by the government.

According to PRS Legislative Research, a total of 18 bills have been listed for passage in the Parliament.
