Chick-fil-A Testing Family Style Meals, New Sides

Similar to KFC's bucket meals, customers can enjoy one entree, two sides and eight mini rolls for $29.99. Plates, utensils, and condiments are also included.

The entree options include chicken strips (12-count), original Chick-fil-A chicken breasts (4-count), nuggets (30 count), and grilled chicken breasts (4-count). As for sides, customers can pick from bacon baked beans, a fruit cup, mac and cheese, side salad or a superfood side - kale and broccolini tossed in a maple vinaigrette dressing and topped with dried sour cherries and roasted nuts.

"Our customers told us that they wanted an even more convenient way to share meals at home or on the go, so we worked directly with a group of parents to design every part of Family Style Meals", said Matt Abercrombie, Chick-fil-A's menu development manager, in a press release.

That's because the chicken chain is now testing out family-style meals, TODAY has learned. For example, a meal with Grilled Chicken Breasts, Side Salad and Fruit Cup with two Mini Rolls has less than 300 calories per serving. If the meals and new sides are a success in those cities, Chick-Fil-A said they may be added to menus nationwide. According to Chick-fil-A, the baked beans are kettle-cooked with bacon and brown sugar. The mac and cheese is made of a blend of cheddar, parmesan and romano cheeses.

It All Comes Down to Ted Cruz
As premiums rose, younger and healthier people, who didn't think coverage was an absolute necessity, simply didn't buy insurance . The whole thing would function, if it functions at all, like a series of state-based, federally funded high-risk-pools.

If you've sometimes felt henpecked because you just can't bring home enough of that Chick-fil-A goodness to please everybody in your roost, worry no more.

The meals can be ordered through the drive-thru or inside the restaurant, and will be available for ordering through the company's app at a delayed date. "Some parents said 'I don't even eat until after my family is fed.' That was a really big 'aha!' for us".

The test meals will be served in Phoenix, San Antonio and Greensboro, N.C., until November 18.
