President Trump's approval numbers may be unflatteringly low, but Hillary Clinton's are worse. In fact, her dismal rating in the latest poll is the second lowest since the poll began tracking her in September 2009.

Trump's slightly superior, though similarly bad rating, comes as the president fends off a Russian Federation probe, courts blocking his immigration order, the inability to repeal Obamacare, and a series of press reports about potential conflicts of interest affecting the president and close family members.

A Bloomberg News National Poll shows more people have a favorable opinion of Trump than they do his 2016 Democratic presidential rival, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The July 8-12 survey found Trump topped Clinton by two points, 41 percent to 39 percent.

And this: "Almost six months into Donald Trump's presidency, Americans are feeling fairly optimistic about their jobs, the strength of the US economy, and their own fortunes The latest Bloomberg National Poll shows 58 percent of Americans believe they're moving closer to realizing their own career and financial aspirations, tied for the highest recorded in the poll since the question was first asked in February 2013".

Trump has consistently referred to scandals surrounding Clinton and attacks against her even as his own scandals pile up against him and his administration. Many also said they wish Sanders won the nomination, or that they only supported Clinton because she was not Trump. 'It's not a pox on the Democratic house because numbers for other Democrats are good'.

The Trump administration has attempted to divert attention away from Trump Jr.'s June 2016 meeting with Veselnitskaya by citing the proximity of Clinton's opposition to the Magnitsky Act to her husband's profitable Moscow speech. There were a lot of factors that fed into Trump becoming a president and she was just one of them'. However, Bloomberg just reported on a poll that the president is sure to like.

In contrast to Clinton, former President Barack Obama has fared well with some distance from the spotlight. It had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points.

The poll's findings came two days after the release of an ABC/Washington Post poll Sunday that showed Trump's support declining to 36 percent approval.
