Newcastle United have wrapped up the signing of England under-21 worldwide winger Jacob Murphy from Championship side Norwich City for a reported fee of £12 million, the club confirmed Wednesday.

However, it doesn't appear that he has much of a future at Newcastle in the Premier League, and as a result Simon Grayson's Sunderland are reportedly considering a move for the Irishman this summer.

After loan stints with Swindon, Southend, Blackpool, Scunthorpe, Colchester and Coventry, Murphy has since established himself in the Canaries first team, scoring 10 goals in 41 appearances for Norwich last term.

Benitez added: "He's a young and talented player and hopefully he can develop even more here. I can't wait to get started", said the winger.

Newcastle United have confirmed that winger Jacob Murphy has completed a move from Norwich City for an undisclosed fee.

Confident India Eager To Upset Australia
India do face an uphill struggle but, it is also to be noted that they are a vastly improved side since the 2013 World Cup. India have a poor record against Australia , having lost 34 out of 42 games played so far.

"We are talking about different things in the Premier League and we have some clubs asking about him", Benitez told the Irish Examiner.

"I was really pleased with his contribution last season, not just because he played games and scored goals but he led by example, both in the dressing room and training".

He has now flown out to Ireland to join up with the rest of the squad for pre-season.

"But, in this case, we wanted the type of player (Jacob is) and were happy with that".
