Now the poster boy for "The Process" in Philly is tackling his "NBA 2K18" rating, which is an unacceptable 86.

The player ratings for National Basketball Association 2K18 are trickling out and the Cavs are already looking like one of the game's elite teams. "I try to actually rate myself and like literally guess a 95, so there's basically like no way to rate me".

Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers was caught off guard by his overall rating of 86, though he did indicate that he will do what he can to bump it up to 95 over the course of next season. Now, the Frenchman's a perennial Defensive Player of the Year candidate who ended the 2016-17 season at an 81 overall. In the lead-up to the game's launch, 2K Sports has begun the annual exercise of revealing Player Ratings via social media. "And mark my words, I will be at least a 93 before the end of the season", said Irving, via Instagram. "As a big man, I can do everything - I can shoot three's, post up, handle the ball, be a playmaker". I'll be honest, I should be at least a 95 overall. Irving felt he deserved a 95 or over since he's the current cover athlete.
