Guam residents confident in United States military

Guam is home to two military bases housing more than 6,000 Americans. It has air and naval bases, as well as missile-defence launchers on the island.

North Korea announced a detailed plan to launch ballistic missiles toward Guam.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson sought to calm tensions after Trump's remarks, saying "Americans should sleep well at night".
