Talking to the newsmen here after concluding his day-long visit, the prime minister said as committed by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the federal government would spend Rs 25 billion for development projects in Karachi and Rs 5 billion in Hyderabad.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi Saturday reaffirmed commitment of the federal government to work with the provincial government for development of the province. He also directed that the ongoing federal projects in the Sindh Province should be completed as soon as possible.

He said among development projects committed by the federal government included the construction of a medical college and hospital in Karachi University and Greenline Bus Rapid Transit System.

He is expected to meet prominent entrepreneurs and delegations of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) at the Governor House Karachi. He told that MQM has also asked PM Abbasi for the recovery of its missing workers. During the meeting, issues concerning law and order and development came under discussion.

The prime minister thanked the MQM leaders for voting for him during the election.

Speaking about problems being faced by traders, the prime minister said that their difficulties would be resolved on priority basis.
