Episode 4 of Game Of Thrones season 7 was a nail-biter as Daenerys and her dragon laid waste to Cersei's troops in The Spoils of War.

Last week's episode "Spoils of War" saw Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) finally ride her dragon Drogon into battle against the Lannister forces that had raided the Tyrell's cache of gold, and it's fair to say that she and Drogon, along with the help of her Dothraki army absolutely decimated nearly everybody on the battlefield.

Yes, that means that after tonight, there will only be two episodes of Game of Thrones left.

Although we were aware that everyone was really fighting their own battle, when Bronn was tasked to shoot Drogon that's exactly when the happy-go-lucky, character lost a lot of his fans.

His arguably unforgivable sin: He shot down one of Dany's dragons.

From a chance encounter at the Inn at the Crossroads in season 1, House Lannister gained one of its most venerable foot soldiers: the foul-mouthed sellsword Bronn (Jerome Flynn).

I was surprised when I was watching it.

In fact, the actor said he did actually get to shoot the crossbow-dragon-killer thing.

"Yes, I shot that thing, so it was real". "It was all part of the sequence and training". "The armourers on this show are just geniuses, and they try to make everything as authentic as possible". Fearing for his life, Bronn somehow managed to work Qyburn's Scorpion weapon created to take down the creature, firing an arrow direct into Drogon in the process. "It's probably the coolest weapon I'm going to get to play with", he said.

Asked if people should be concerned about Bronn's well-being at the end of the episode, Flynn replied, "I think it depends on if you care for him". As she did that, Jaime saw an opening to attack the Mother of Dragons but just as he approached, Drogon turned his head around and shot out a breath of fire just as Bronn tackled Jaime into the nearby body of water. "If you're really angry he's been shooting at Drogon, then maybe not".

We'll let fans ponder on that one.
