In what is being considered a dodge of the question of whether he can work with White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster refused to single out Bannon - or even mention by name - in an appearance Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press".

Scaramucci decried what he called the "Bannon-Bart" influence at the White House, labelling it "nonsense".

"Obviously I paid the consequences", Scaramucci told Stephanopoulos. Not only did the channel help launch Trump's political career by giving him a constant platform to push his birther allegations under President Barack Obama, but Fox News today functions as his most important media ally and works diligently to obediently spin his messaging.

"The whole thing is nonsensical", Scaramucci said.

On Saturday, Trump strongly condemned the violence in Charlottesville, organized by far-right nationalists, stating that the events were a "display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides", but refrained from blaming any particular group for the outbreak of violence.

Scaramucci was sacked after just 11 days on the job.

Google 'Almost Like a Cult', Says Engineer Fired Over Diversity Memo
Ads criticizing Google over firing James Damore have been plastered on benches and bus stops near the company's office in Venice. Google chief Sundar Pichai said Dimore "crossd the line by advancing harmful gender stereotypes in Google's workplace".

Stephanopoulos played portions of the conversation Scaramucci had with Lizza, as Scaramucci listened.

"I applaud Gen. McMaster for calling it out for what it is", he said.

But he acknowledged that he "made an unforced error", and said that he was a target from the start.

The Trump White House reportedly received another, "Thanks, but no thanks" response from a high-profile player who has passed on a senior administration position.

He also said that how he sounds on the audio of the conversation is much different than how he comes across in print - calmer in conversation than the inflammatory words would suggest.

The New Yorker released portions of the phone call between its Washington correspondent, Ryan Lizza and former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci. "I am a straight talking person".
