Nemanja Matic Sale a Casualty of "Crazy Transfer Market", Says Antonio Conte

The England global has revealed his desire to move back north, hinting at a move to Manchester United or Manchester City.

Neville believes what Conte said shows he was not the person at Chelsea who allowed Matic to join a fellow competitor for the Premier League title in Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho has improved Manchester United, but Paul Ince believes the value of his transfer deals has been overplayed.

"United were crying out for a central midfielder with the qualities of Nemanja Matic".

Tottenham Hotspur, for instance, have been lambasted publicly by one of their own players for a lack of ambition; Liverpool's best player has handed in a transfer request; Pep Guardiola has made good signings but apparently still wants more; Arsenal are going through the same mental process they do every year, so no problem there.

North Korea tensions continue to weigh on global stocks
Economists polled by MarketWatch are forecasting a 0.2% monthly rise for both measures, after flat reading the prior month. Weaker-than-expected July consumer price data led investors to bet that benign inflation would keep the U.S.

"I can't think of a reason why Chelsea would sell him", Neville told Sky.

"I heard whispers at the back end of last season that he wanted to go and even if the club can not come out and say too much about that, maybe there was an element of that in play here when this deal went through". You would applaud that but those players aren't even at the club now. My idea was to give Bakayoko the right time to adapt in this league behind Matic. He is probably the best in England alongside N'Golo Kante.

"Chelsea are weaker than last season - no Diego Costa, no Matic - and I'm concerned for them".

"Chelsea have broken up that partnership and strengthened their rivals". Is Tiemoue Bakayoko, a £35million signing, a similar type of player to Matic? I think he's capable of dropping deep or playing in an old-fashioned midfield two but he can get further forward and I expect him to be more effective this year.
