On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump told reporters that North Korea should stop threatening the United States, otherwise Washington will answer with "fire and fury the likes of which the world has never seen".

"At the same time, if the USA strikes first and starts war on the Korean Peninsula, China and other countries, including Russia, Japan and South Korea, will be against it". Although countries have yet to throw their support behind Pyongyang in the event of a confrontation, North Korea has found supporters in its neighbor China - with some conditions.

According to the official press, Xi considered in his dialog with Trump that the parties involved should avoid comments and actions that could lead to the escalation of tensions. "If the United States and South Korea carry out strikes and try to overthrow the North Korean regime and change the political pattern of the Korean Peninsula، China will prevent them from doing so،" the article said.

Commenting on the war of words between the USA and North Korea, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the risks of a full-fledged war between the U.S. and North Korea are "very high".

"The expert added that China sent a stern warning over the situation in the region".

"China should also make clear that if North Korea launches missiles that threaten USA soil first and the US retaliates, China will stay neutral", the Global Times said in an editorial. The North responded with a warning that it was considering an attack on the US territory of Guam.

KIM: Only last month, Russian Federation and China jointly called on North Korea to freeze its nuclear weapons program. This promising anti-missile program was canceled by the Clinton Administration in favor of President Clinton's Agreed Framework and its policy of appeasement, which ultimately resulted in today's North Korean ICBMs. According to the plan, four Hwasong-12 missiles will fly around 3,400 kilometers, particularly crossing Japan's airspace, and land in water 30-40 kilometers off the Guam coast.

Last month, Pyongyang conducted two tests of intercontinental ballistic missiles.

The US and North Korea have exchanged a series of warmongering statements over the recent week.
