Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has endorsed Borussia Dortmund's tough stance on Barcelona target Ousmane Dembele.

The decision to extend the suspension was taken after a meeting on Saturday night between Bosz, chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke and sporting director Michael Zorc. "Dembele, of course, has the opportunity to complete an individual training session outside the group", Zorc said.

Dembele will be expected to train on his own while the rest of the squad prepare for their first Bundesliga game of the season against Wolfsburg next Saturday.

Dembele missed Dortmund's DFB-Pokal match against Rielasingen-Arlen as Maximilian Philipp and Andre Schurrle played on the wings, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netting a hat-trick after Marc Bartra opened the scoring.

Dembele is being targeted as a replacement for Neymar, who left Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain last week in a record-shattering €222million deal.

Dembele is under contract with Dortmund until 2021 and an initial offer from the Spanish giants has been rejected by Dortmund.

The German club say that Dembele moving to Barca is "not now likely".
