Sharad Yadav replaced due to anti-party activities: JD(U)

Nitish could be made convenor of the NDA, the stature once enjoyed by George Fernandes and Sharad Yadav, according to JD (U) leaders. "I invited JD (U) to join the NDA", Mr Shah said in a tweet.

"When we are together in government in Bihar it is only natural that our party joins the Union government", he said.

Several JD (U) leaders, including Yadav, were miffed with Kumar's "unilateral" decision.

The political dais to centrestage "secular values" would follow what is turning into a complete divorce between Nitish Kumar and Sharad Yadav.

Tyagi said Sharad Yadav won from Madhepura with the BJP's support in 1999. We were ready to go there and put forth our views, but Nitish seems to be afraid of what we will say.

Ansari said that everyone, be it opposition parties, social leaders or anyone with human values, should unite against the "divisive forces" (BJP and RSS).

In Patna, JD (U) chief of the state unit Bashistha Narain Singh said Sharad Yadav forced action on him by continuously engaging in the "anti-party activities".
