The Americans have been pressing China to pressure North Korea into abandoning its nuclear programme amid fears that it is close to developing a missile which could hit the USA mainland. "They're bullying us, because they're used to bullying us, because we've had punks running America ... we've had think-tankers and defense contractors, but we've never had - in recent times, anyway - someone willing to stand up for America". "Well, he's acting more responsible than this guy".

Earlier this week, Trump said if North Korea made any more threats to the US, it will be met with "fire and fury". On Thursday, Trump said his previous statement may not have been tough enough.
