Henne got reps with the first-team offense in the Jaguars' 12-8 loss to Tampa Bay at EverBank Field on Thursday night. Although the game doesn't really count, it was a great opportunity for the Bucs' coaching staff to evaluate the entire team as a whole and determine what areas the franchise needs to work on the next few weeks before the Bucs face the Dolphins in primetime action and the regular season officially kicks off.

QB depth chart: Bortles, entering his fourth National Football League season, was a lackluster 8-for-13 for 65 yards, and the first-team offense punted on all four of his drives.

Bortles completed eight of 13 passes for 65 yards and no touchdowns with no interceptions Thursday; Henne completed six of 10 passes for 44 yards and no touchdowns with no interceptions.

Winston had two passes dropped, including what would have been a 43-yard touchdown strike to Mike Evans in the first quarter. The nine-year veteran had a drive late in the first half, and that unit went back out there to start the third quarter. Jaguars defensive end Calais Campbell blocked the conversion, and Buccaneers kicker Nick Folk's 35-yard field goal on the Bucs' next drive made it 9-0 early in the second quarter.

Marrone and Coughlin have publicly supported Bortles all year, even picking up the fifth-year option in his rookie contract. Two days later, Bortles said his arm was fine.

Henne's first pass should have resulted in a touchdown, but Keelan Cole dropped it at the goal line. Westbrook and third-string quarterback Brandon Allen got the Jags to the 2-yard line in the final 2 minutes, but Allen misfired on a fourth-and-1 play.

Henne's two drives ended with a missed Jason Myers field goal and a punt. Myers also missed an extra point following the Jaguars' only touchdown. The longest run of the first half was 3 yards.

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles has been absolutely brutal in preseason and training camp, with throws so bad that top receiver Allen Robinson yelled at him to "fucking keep that shit in bounds, bro!" Other starters who missed the game: Ramsey, Bouye and CB Aaron Colvin (still on the physically unable to perform list).

Running back T.J. Yeldon suffered a left hamstring strain during the team's first offensive series. Cornerback Charles Gaines injured his right eye.
