Nokia 8 debuts with special ' Bothies' feature, Snapdragon 835 chipset

From a stellar camera to some top notch specs, Nokia 8 will be pitted against some of the big flagships.

Old and new fans alike of Nokia will want this new Nokia 8 because it's the most premium offering yet since the brand was given a new lease on life by HMD. The thick bezels and physical buttons, which have become obsolete and found only in budget devices, have been incorporated in Nokia 8.

The Nokia 8 will be available in polished blue, polished copper, tempered blue, and steel.

HMD Global -A Finish start-up- has launched The Nokia 8 after several weeks of speculations, the launching took place at an event in London.

As expected, Nokia and HMD Global officially announced the Nokia 8 today.

HMD Global hasn't set a specific release date yet for the USA, nor did it confirm pricing. It also comes with support for microSD cards of up to 256GB expandable memory capacity and a 3090mAh of battery.

According to Mashable, HMD CEO Pekka Rantala expressed, "It's a phone for everyone, but focused on the next generations - millennials and creators - who are sharing every day their life great moments and experiences".

Nokia 8 has taken the plunge into the dual-rear camera trend. It features a 5.3inch IPS LCD QHD display with 700nits screen brightness and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Nokia 8 will come equipped with two dual 13MP sensors by Carl Zeiss.

The dual camera also saw to the comeback of Zeis to the smartphone world with the first Zeis lenses available on an Android phone. Featuring exclusive ZEISS optics, the trio of 13MP shooters - one for colour and one for monochrome at the rear, and a third front-facing - enable a trick HMD hopes will speak to share-happy millenials. It will basically activate both the front and back cameras to let you capture photos and videos.

Nokia 8 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat, which will be upgraded to Android 8 O. It is a dual sim device with dual standby support. This special mode allows users to click photos or record videos using footage from both the front and rear cameras (as can be seen above). This means that videos shot with the Nokia 8 will capture 360-degree audio.
