OkCupid bans white nationalist for life after Charlottesville rally

Online dating service OkCupid has banned a prominent white supremacist "for life" after discovering he was using the platform. "Within 10 minutes we banned him for life", the company announced on Twitter before following up with, "There is no room for hate in a place where you're looking for love". The Daily Stormer, a site frequented by Mr Cantwell and other white supremacists, was banned by both USA domain host GoDaddy and search giant Google.

When told that OkCupid closed his account, Cantwell told USA Today: "Hahaha!"

OkCupid said it also welcomes anyone to report hateful people on the app.
